Chemical wash

Aircon chemical wash in Singapore

8 companies whose name or customers' public reviews mention chemical wash. A deeper clean of the coil, blower and drain tray.

A chemical wash goes further than general servicing. Helpling describes it as partial disassembly of the indoor unit to reach the coils, blower wheel and drainage that regular servicing cannot, with nothing replaced, and recommends one every 6 to 12 months (Helpling, Feb 2026).

What it costs

Helpling publishes a chemical wash at S$80 a unit for 9k to 18k BTU wall-mounted units and S$100 for 24k BTU (Helpling price list); its February 2026 guide gives S$80 to S$120 a unit generally (Helpling).

Signs you need it

  • Cooling is weak even after general servicing
  • A musty smell that servicing did not remove
  • Black specks blowing out of the vents
  • Water leaking despite a clear drain

What to ask the company

  • Wash or overhaul: which does my unit need, and why?
  • Is the price by BTU size?
  • Is a gas check included?
  • What warranty comes with it?
